Caring relationship
Wednesday, November the 1st, there was no
class that day because students will be going on a field trip to the museum and
the agriculture that is due with their environmental study and a KCS. Our
associate teacher allowed us to accompany her students during the field trip.
She told us to take care of her students because some of them are naughty.
Firstly, we gather them in the middle and sing with
them before their transport comes. They are very excited to see everything at
the museum because they already know that all the things there are made in
Kiribati and the history of our country is also stored there. Half an hour
later, the transport arrived. We tell them to form two lines and march to the
truck. They got on the truck slowly and sat properly. We try our best to look
after them when they are all on the truck to make sure they are all safe. We
reached the museum safely and told them to march slowly to the maneaba and
waited there for our turn to enter the museum. When our turn is coming, we
slowly march to the museum with them and tell them to be quiet and don’t touch
everything there. We look after them carefully to make sure that no one gets harmed
by harmful things there. Afterward, we got out safely from the museum then we
went to the truck for our next trip.
Secondly, we checked all of them before we went to the
agriculture to make sure that no one missing. When we reached there, we told
them the same thing that obedient and being careful is a very important thing.
The staff at this place gave us a tour and explained every plant that we saw
there and also told us the importance of it. After this, we went back to the
school safely with all the students.
To conclude, this day is a very special and
challenging day of all days that we spent with other block teach because it was
the first time that we went out with students. It reminds and helps us that the
safety of students is very important. It is our priority and responsibility as teachers
because we are the second parents of all students in the school and to make
sure they feel comfortable and safe everywhere and every time.
