Professional Development
Reflecting on my essay, I now understand even more how important professional development is for teachers and how it has helped me grow during my teaching practical at ETI JSS Tarawaieta and BTC JSS. The three indicators I discussed—participating in training, sharing ideas with others, and updating my personal development plan—were not just ideas in theory. I actually experienced them in real situations, and they helped me become a better teacher. The first indicator, joining professional development and applying it in the classroom, strongly connects to my experience at ETI JSS Tarawaieta. I joined a workshop run by the Exam Unit staff about using group activities in English lessons. After that training, I used small group discussions with my students.
