  Reflecting on my essay, I now understand even more how important professional development is for teachers and how it has helped me grow during my teaching practical at ETI JSS Tarawaieta and BTC JSS. The three indicators I discussed—participating in training, sharing ideas with others, and updating my personal development plan—were not just ideas in theory. I actually experienced them in real situations, and they helped me become a better teacher.  During my practicum at BTC JSS, I learned how to use the three important reporting indicators, and they helped me understand more about student learning and communication with parents. The first indicator is reporting valid information about students’ progress to students, parents, and other teachers. I had the chance to meet parents during the PTA and share each student’s learning performance and classroom behavior. At first, I felt nervous, but I saw that some parents cared more about academic results while others wanted to know about their child’s behavior and personality. This showed me that reporting helps students understand their strengths and weaknesses, helps parents know how to support their child, and helps teachers plan ways to improve learning. One important indicator I practiced was diligence, which included completing attendance registers, roster duties, and reports accurately and on time. During my practicum at BTC JSS, I learned the importance of preparing detailed lesson plans to guide my teaching and help students achieve the learning objectives. I understood that a lesson plan is like a teacher’s manual, showing what students should learn, how I will teach it, and how their learning will be assessed. By linking my lesson plans to the curriculum standards and weekly planner, I was able to ensure that my lessons were organized, aligned with school requirements, and covered the topics in a logical sequence.   Reflection on My Teaching Practicum During my teaching practicum at BTC JSS, I learned many important lessons about what it means to be an effective teacher. My experience helped me understand that teaching is not only about delivering lessons but also about finding ways to help students enjoy learning and take part in the lesson actively.
